Evergreen Landscape Co. was founded in 1998 by James Whitfield, a Cornell-trained landscape architect with a quiet conviction that the best gardens are built slowly, by people who plan to be around to look after them.
Twenty-five years later, the then small studio has expanded to 22 full-time designers, horticulturists, masons, and gardeners.
With offices in the South and East coast, we serve Texas, to The Carolinas, to Jersey and New York. We are most at home on properties between one and twelve acres, working alongside thoughtful homeowners and the architects, builders, and interior designers they trust.

Every design begins with a careful reading of the land — its grades, soils, light, and existing trees.

We choose materials and plants that look better in twenty years than in the first season.
